Thank you for your interest in joining Pierce-Eislen’s Rent Survey team. You were directed to this site because you have expressed interest in being considered for candidacy for the Surveyor position. This explains what the Rent Survey entails.

About Pierce-Eislen

Pierce-Eislen is a real estate market research firm serving the commercial apartment industry in markets throughout the United States. The company provides an Internet-accessed product subscribed to by apartment industry professionals seeking information on specific apartment communities, or apartment market conditions. A more complete description of the company is provided under “New Visitors” on our website at www.pi-ei.com.

About the Surveyor Position

Why We Conduct Surveys – Our product provides information on various dynamic aspects of apartment community operations, requiring that regular assessments be conducted. The Rent Survey updates an apartment community’s rents, current rent specials, and several other factors subject to frequent change. The process requires calling apartment communities and asking various questions.

Computer/Telephone Need – High speed Internet access and long distance telephone service are required. There is no selling involved, but apartment communities are called to ask them simple questions about their apartments, a process requiring good telephone etiquette and a pleasant demeanor.

Surveys are Conducted as a Renter – Surveys must be conducted as a potential renter to ensure accuracy of information. This requires that you be willing to play a role as a renter.

Survey Timing – Survey team members must participate a minimum of 10 hours per week, with calls made between the hours of 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM within surveyed time zones.

Compensation – After the first week, the pay rate is $11 per hour, with additional bonuses for exceeding a required number of surveys per hour. (Pay for the first week is $10 per hour.)

Independent Contractor – As a member of the survey team employment status is as an independent contractor.

Required AccuracyWhile surveys are simple to conduct, a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness is required.
